CNC Set-up Operator/Programmer

We are interested in hiring talented and committed individuals to join our team as CNC Set-up Operator/Programmer. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Read Blueprints and interpret engineering drawings
• Program and operate a variety of 3-axis and 5-axis machines 
• Monitor machine operations to ensure there are no problems during operations
• Verify dimensions of parts and tools using precision measuring instruments
• Identify and correct machine and programming errors
• Abide by health and safety regulations and standards
• Maintain machines, equipment, tools and supplies
• Keep records and documentation of operations
• Communicate with manager/supervisor about technical or safety issues and potential problems on the shop floor or machines
• Keep machines and surrounding areas clean

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience programming, setting up and operating CNC machines
• A strong understanding of geometrical tolerancing and ability to interpret drawings
• Excellent and skilful use of measurement equipment
• Attention to details, accuracy and precision
• Ability to perform physical work
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Additional Requirements 

• Own steel-toe safety shoes
